Ren's Wildlife Hospital (Ren's Rescue, registered charity no. 1184052) exists to give injured, sick and orphaned wild animals across East Yorkshire the best possible chance of getting back to the wild. From our base in Keyingham & Winestead, our small team and dedicated volunteers take calls from the public, treat and care for animals in need, and support them through rehabilitation and release.

What We Do

How the hospital runs

Rescue & Treatment

We take calls on our Help & Advice Line, assess injured and orphaned wildlife, and provide hands-on care at our site in Keyingham & Winestead.

Rehabilitation & Release

Animals in our care are supported through recovery in purpose-prepared enclosures, with the goal of returning them to the wild whenever possible.

Advice for the Public

Our helpline offers guidance to anyone who has found an injured or orphaned wild animal - see our FAQs for common questions.

Charity Shops & Fundraising

Our two Ren's Rescue Shops in Hull, along with donations, our lottery and auctions, fund the day-to-day running of the hospital.
